When I first heard about how popular these are in the UK, I wondered why, after all there not even British….

But when I looked into them I was really surprised, first of all what are they for. Well originally they were designed for German soldiers who parachute out of aircraft hence the term German Para boots. But quite surprisingly they feel quite heavy to hold, again I looked into the British equivalent the British Assault Boot and they are heavier. But then I tried them on….. Well I am beginning to see why German Para boots are quite popular. They are extremely comfortable to wear and after a short while you don’t even notice the slight extra weight. In fact looking on the positive side think of the extra calories you can burn!
